Head of Talent - Startup Division

Job description

London | 11 - 50 employees

A bit about us...

Create + Adapt are your first subscription based talent acquisition and employer brand partner. With a curiosity to break things, we're a tribe of doers determined to reinvent recruitment. Together, we help transformational brands scale sustainably through building a culture-first approach to recruitment.

Our team has experienced the world of sales-driven recruitment and have always begged the question - there’s got to be another way? We wanted to make partners out of clients and friends out of our candidates. We couldn’t find one, so we built it. Now we’re in a world we love and we’re here to stay. We’re not working in recruitment; we’re working on it. Our model provides scaling businesses, like ourselves, with the unique support they need to develop their rapidly growing team. Think of us as the Spotify for hiring; you can start, pause or stop at any time.

About the role...

In this newly created role you will lead the Talent Acquisition & Culture services across our startup division. You will have the opportunity to join a startup that has big aspirations for both innovation and technology, playing a pivotal role in driving value to our portfolio of startups whilst leading a team of five talent acquisition and culture experts. A creative problem solver, pragmatic thinker and data nut, you’ll love a varied and challenging workload where no one day is the same. Partnering with CEO's to Talent professionals, you'll thrive on influencing, leading and setting the standard on how talent acquisition is carried out across our industry. Reporting to our Founder and CEO, Matt Halsey, you will be comfortable with the ambiguity of a growing startup environment and embrace developing solutions.

Key responsibilities:

Due to continued growth, and a waiting list of new customers, we have an exciting roadmap with the launch of our new product the 'Canda Hub', along with the opportunity to build and scale a team both within London and across new markets. Your first year should be filled with:

  • You'll lead a growing team of doers and creatives in the talent space, whilst continuing to build on our inclusive culture.
  • You’ll be able to innovate and create solutions for customers, ranging from workshops, onsite support, technology and branding campaigns.
  • You’ll help develop the overall Canda centre of expertise, helping our community of talent gurus to be the best they can be. Above all you’ll be in the thick of our customers growth.

A bit about you...

  • You’ll love all things people, technology and solving problems. You’ll know what it takes to get things done.
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable challenging the norm as well as senior stakeholders.
  • Passionate about customer service and building honest and lasting relationships.
  • Autonomous, you like to take ownership of your work and be self-lead.
  • Collaborative, while you are self-lead you are also a team player who values cooperation.
  • Curious: you want to continually learn, develop and share learning.
  • Experienced in developing an employer brand strategy or campaign to hiring a broad range of roles.
  • You'll have led both agency and in-house teams and have experience with managing budgets.
  • A sense of humour is essential, we don’t compromise on this.

What’s in it for you…
